The House of the Devil
2009 · 95 minutes · English · ★ 6.3/10 · IMDb rating via Cinemeta (saved 2026-10-07)
A student accepts an unusually well-paid babysitting job at a remote house, only to discover that her employers have concealed the real assignment.
For viewers who enjoy waiting for the danger to reveal itself. The retro setting, empty rooms and escalating unease make this a patient late-night choice. Save it for a focused watch rather than a noisy group looking for constant action.
Slow-building dread followed by strong bloody violence. Check local age guidance before choosing for children.
